Edith + Jancel - Wedding Anniversary Session

When you think you have met the goofiest couple, life always surprises you and you get to photograph another lovely couple. Edith and Jancel are so kind, sweet and supporting. We did a beautiful anniversary session in their home in the Dominican Republic and a sunset walks (with beers included of course) around the coast of the city.

Edith told me "Jancel hates photos and we feel super awkward in front of a camera" And I was like " oh, you mean like everybody else!" hahaha. Fear not! one of my approaches is " don't look at the camera" I want to capture you both as you normally are together. Instead of trying to look perfect, I want you to see the real you on those photos.

A few minutes into the session and they were having a blast! Edith is wearing her gramma's dress, a 50-year-old red dress her gramma made herself. She wanted to honor her, honor her commitment to her family and her beautiful taste in clothing.

And the best thing is, Edith is my cousin!!! She has always been amazing, supportive and I love her so much! We basically grew up together dancing and singing JLo's music in the 90's!
